In 2006, 94.6% of families living in high socioeconomic areas reported that they had family and community support compared with 80.4% of families living in low socioeconomic areas; a difference of 13.8 percentage points.
The percentage of families in NSW who felt they have family and community support was similar to that of Australia as a whole.
