Notes: Figure based on 5,888 respondents. Percents do not all add to 100 due to rounding. The question "In general would you say [child's] health is excellent, very good, good, fair or poor?" was asked of parents or carers.

Comment

The vast majority (97.3%) of parents or carers said that their 5 to 12 year olds were in at least “good" health.

Approximately half (51.6%) the parents or carers said their children had excellent health, one-third (34.6%) said their children had very good health, and 11.1% said their children had good health. Only 2.1% of parents or carers said their children had poor or very poor health.
