NSW Department of Education

Child Abuse Prevention Service runs a 24 hour National Telephone Support Line on 1800 688 009 for those affected by child abuse, needing family support or concerned about the welfare of a child. CAPS also delivers child protection services through schools and community groups. The website has free resources which promote child protection and abuse prevention targeted at different groups including for kids, teachers, parents and carers and council and community workers.
Just Ask – Lifeline
Lifeline provides 24-hour telephone counselling on 13 11 14 for the cost of local call. This service is available to anyone, anywhere in Australia, at any time day or night. The site also has information about mental health, getting help, services available and suicide prevention resources.
Keep Them Safe: A shared approach to child wellbeing
Keep Them Safe is the NSW Government’s five-year plan to fundamentally change the way children and families are supported and protected. Its aim is to improve the safety, welfare and wellbeing of all children and young people in New South Wales.

The Australian Government Family Assistance Office has been set to give Australian families access to government services so that, instead of going to different agencies to get family assistance, families are able to get all their payments from just one place. Services include Paid Parental Leave, commencing from 1 January 2011.
Paid parental leave
Australia’s now has a Paid Parental Leave - a new entitlement for working parents funded by the Commonwealth Government. Decisions you make about work before the birth or adoption could affect your eligibility for Parental Leave Pay. Youthsafe's young worker safety resource kit 'In Working Order' has been awarded 'Best OHS Training Program' at the 2009 National Safety Council of Australia/ExxonMobil National Safety Awards of Excellence.
