Young People Advisory Group kicks off

A real highlight from last week was meeting with our newly formed Young People Advisory Group during their orientation on 23 and 24 January. The Advisory Group, made up of 12 young people from six schools across NSW, is an exciting opportunity for young people to be heard and to influence decisions that affect young people throughout NSW.

Children are doing their own research in Australia

In an Australian first, UnitingCare Burnside has implemented a child-led research training program. The Today and Tomorrow Research Program began in April with a group of local students aged nine to fourteen years learning about all aspects of research including design, ethics, research methods, data collection, data analysis and disseminating research findings. Commissioner Megan Mitchell attended the launch of the program on November 24.
