Updated web pages for the new Working With Children Check

Need to know how the new Working With Children Check is going to operate? Who does and doesn’t need the new check? Updated information is now available at www.newcheck.kids.nsw.gov.au.
The Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 has been passed by the NSW Parliament and will be implemented towards the end of 2012. Six new web pages provide information on how workers and volunteers will get a new check, how employers will verify their child-related workers Working With Children Check status, and how the new check will be implemented over a five-year period.
The website also includes links to fact sheets that provided detailed information about what is checked, defined offences, bars and reviews, and who does and doesn’t need a check.
