  • New Commissioner for Children and Young People Appointed

The Governor of NSW, Marie Bashir, has appointed Gaye Phillips as the Commissioner of Children and Young People, effective from 7 September 2009, said Minister for Youth Graham West.

“Gaye Phillips has extensive experience in advocating for the rights of children and young people both here in Australia and overseas, and has been successful as a leader in the field of social justice and human rights for many years. I congratulate her on the appointment to the commission,” said Mr West.
