Captured by kids is produced with thanks to all who have helped the Commission in its work for NSW kids during its first decade – especially the kids themselves.
The New South Wales Commission for Children and Young People was established in June 1999, following the proclamation on 31 May of the Commission for Children and Young People Act 1998. Gillian Calvert was appointed the first Commissioner. 2009 marks the completion of the Commission's first decade.
