The Fatal Assault and Neglect of Children and Young People report released in 2003 revealed new findings regarding fatal neglect. What many would call an unfortunate accident where a child is injured or killed, based on the report findings, could now be defined as inadequate supervision or even fatal neglect.

The two speakers included:
