Seminar is now full and registration closed: to be kept up to date with further Commission seminars, news and events, why not signup to our fornightly email bulletin.
This seminar is hosted by the NSW Commission for Children and Young People, in association with the National Investment for the Early Years (NIFTeY).
The seminar will explore how recent advances in developmental neuroscience mean we can now identify early signs of neurobiological deficits that can lead to serious physical, psychological and behavioural problems later in life. We are also able to intervene effectively to mitigate these downstream effects.
Presenter: Stuart Shanker is Distinguished Research Professor of Philosophy and Psychology at York University. He established the Milton and Ethel Harris Research Initiative (MEHRI), a state-of-the-art cognitive and social neuroscience institute at York University.
Time: 9.30AM to 12.30PM.
