What you've told us

• A world fit for children

  In 2004 the Australian Government started to put together a National Plan of Action to improve the lives of children and young people in Australia. The Government asked us to talk with children and young people to find out what they think about living in Australia, what makes it good or not so good and what could be done to make their lives better.

  As part of the plan we talked with more than 500 kids aged 5 -17 years through focus groups in New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia and also had an online survey on our website. A big thank you to all the children and young people who shared their views and ideas.

  We spoke with more than 200 kids between four and 18 years old about health and what it means to them.

• Feeling good!

  We spoke with 126 kids from eight to 15 years old about what helps them to feel good about who they are and how they live.

• Built environment
  November 2006
  The built environment is everywhere. It’s roads, houses, schools, parks and neighbourhoods. We asked more than 125 kids about living in the city and living in the country. We took what you told us to government decision makers so that kids' points of view can get heard. Here’s just a few things that you’ve told us about the built environment.
